More than just a snapshot!

I love this picture.  It isn't the greatest shot, it doesn't have the best color, but it is one of my favorite shots of late.  Why? Because it is my princess dancing and twirling her pretty dress (over her jeans and t-shirt).  Could it be better, yes.  Hopefully I will catch a better quality one in the future, but for now this one is a definite keeper.   Photography is about the moment!

Couple of Hobos

Took this shot at a Church Hobo Dinner.  My wife and youngest enjoying a cool fall day.  Subjects are offset to make the photo more interesting.  Basic editing done in Lightroom. 

Corn Maze Sunset

Sunset from the middle of a corn maze.  Beautiful but chilly night.  Shot by lifting camera overhead with autofocus.  Used Cannon Rebel Xt with a 28-80 mms Tamarind lens.   Shot with shutter speed priority.  Crop and basic color correction done in Picasa.

I love fall!

Colors of creation.

I was on a nature walk enjoying all the beautiful colors of fall when i happened on this beauty. It isn't a perfect specimen but I like it that way as it is true to life.  

In post processing I did some basic croping and color adjustment in Lightroom.  I wanted the colors to really pop and show the glory of this beautiful piece of creaton, as it spends the last few days of its existence shining brightly. 

Black Beauties

Grabbed a shot of these black beauties at a Halloween parade.  Shot with my Nikon with a Nikon lens.  

Post edited for color correction in Adobe Lightroom.

Hello there!

Someone's happy to see me.  Meeting my friends new dog.

I framed the shot to try and make good use out of the empty space.  Having the subject to one side verses centering the subject creates a more interestimg shot. 

I also used a low appeture to created a blurred background and to draw emphasis to this happy little girls smile.

In post processing I did some minor cropping and basic color adjustments in Lightroom.
